Main goals
The group is devoted to the research and technological development in areas related to pattern recognition and speech and language technologies. We are also aimed to advise PhD students, to train technical experts and to transfer technology to companies. Our main research areas are:
  1. •Speech recognition and understanding. Dialogue Systems. Language Identification.
  2. •Machine translation for limited domains. Speech to speech translation.
  3. •Statistical and Syntactic pattern recognition methodologies. Stochastic Finite State Automata and Transducers.
  4. •Design and acquisition of Language Resources: text and speech corpus, dialog corpus, multilingual corpus, etc. Basque, Spanish and English.
